The Ultimate Substitute Teacher's Music Resource Guide
Music Class Activities for the Musically-Challenged Substitute Teacher
By Geoff Lorenz, Barbara Meeks, Robin Virzi, & Janet Vogt
Comb-bound Book
89 pages
For grades K - 6

A resource filled with activities that take little or no music background to teach. Each activity has an indication of the level of music expertise needed to teach: 1 means no music background is needed, 2 requires some musical knowledge (such as previously playing an instrument or singing in a choir), and 3 is for teachers with a music degree or a well-rounded knowledge of music. Teacher pages give suggestions of when to use the activity, directions for the teaching process, and (when appropriate) answer keys for the student pages. For teachers with some musical background, selected activities also list Optional Topics for Discussion. Games, worksheets, and exercises are divided by classroom grade level (K to grade 6), and all student pages are reproducible for use with the students in the purchaser's class.
