Zildjian's K Custom series is the Modern Jazz Voice. This is where the Zildjian Sound Lab goes into innovation overdrive. K Customs arm you with a collection of modern K voices like no other. In this range you’ll find sounds that set the standard for modern cymbal design. Whether it’s the warm shimmering tones of a Ride cymbal, or the complex sizzle of a pair of HiHats, these cymbals all create a uniquely beautiful sound. K Customs enable drummers to vary their K sounds to meet the demands of contemporary music.
K Custom Ride
Bright, clean stick definition. Loud bell. Dark overtones. Unlathed top and bottom. Brilliant finish.
Versatile all-around Ride with good stick definition, clear bell and warm undertone. Unlathed underside. Traditional finish top, Brilliant finish underside.
Excellent stick definition with dry, full-bodied stick sound. Dark, warm undertones with trashy crash qualities for accents.
Ultra-dry stick sound. Very little but dry undertones. Unlathed and unpolished top and bottom.
Dry Complex Ride II
A new wider and lower profiled bell design offers more control along with a smooth and well balanced array of overtones.
Designed with one of Japan's top drummer's Akira Jimbo. Unlathed, buffed center provides defined stick attack and strong bell. Outside lathed edge increases spread and crashability.
Designed with Steve Gadd, replicating his personal Ride. More controlled sound that is lower in pitch but with enough spread to ride on top of the music. A clean articulate stick sound, controllable wash with complex, dark overtones, a bright cutting bell and dry short crashes.
Dry Light Ride
Combines a warm, dry stick sound, with a lush, dark, dry, warm and full-bodied crash sound, ideal for accents.
Special Dry Ride
Like the popular Special Dry HiHats and Crashes, this Ride is created with exclusive, radical hammering and lathing techniques. This unique cymbal maintains the dryness of the crash while offering a cutting stick sound.
Left Side Ride
Designed with Peter Erskine, the all-important 2nd Ride. With a clear, warm Ride sound and the superb textural qualities of a 3-Rivet cluster.
High Definition Ride
Redesigned by Terri Lyne Carrington for 2008, the 22" K Custom High Definition Ride is thinner than the original model for greater "crashability" and feel while riding, speaks with great definition and enough tone to balance its dryness.
Flat Top Ride
Beautifully mellow, dry sound. Darker than regular K Flat Top Ride but significantly drier, creating a cymbal with a lot of character and a very interesting sound.
