12 Toners System Book 13: New Horizons
Description
The 12 Toners System is a series of books suitable for tone chimes or handbells. It's unique adaptive notation system is designed for players of any age, regardless of their ability to read music. The "12 Toners" title refers to the numbering system, which uses 12 numbered notes to make a chromatic octave. If additional tone chimes are available, the numbers can be extended up or down to include more ringers. Several different color and/ or number coding systems are presented, to make successful ringing possible for everyone regardless of if they read music. Choose to play chords as you sing the song, play a simple melody line along with the song, or combine the melody with chords for more advanced groups. Permission is granted to the purchaser to make transparencies or charts of the songs from the book.
Songs in Book 13: New Horizons are chosen for their simplicity, using only 8 or fewer notes and simple harmonies. These are particularly well suited for introductory sessions as they are familiar and quickly learned. The 4 Mystery Songs have the melody numbers written out without the song title or staff notation.
