Alfred's Basic Piano Library: Theory Book 1B

Alfred’s Basic Piano Library was created to be a musically sound and enjoyable method series for beginning pianists of all ages. The Basic Piano Course Level 1B books review musical concepts introduced in the level 1A books. The books then introduce new musical ideas: tempo markings, incomplete measures, eighth notes and rests, using the damper pedal, and recognition of half and whole steps. An introduction to major sales is also incorporated in the level 1B books. Colorful illustrations accompany nearly every piece and help make the music concepts come to life.

Each level of Alfred’s Basic Piano Course contains four core books: Lesson, Theory, Recital, Technic.
