Student and professional musicians around the world use Clark W Fobes clarinet and saxophone mouthpieces. They are known for their superior craftsmanship, pure sound, intonation, and articulation. As a lifelong clarinetist himself with a resume that includes the San Francisco Symphony and the Skywalker Ranch Orchestra, Fobes draws upon his expertise as a musician and a repair technician to hand-craft mouthpieces and barrels that he himself is proud to use. Although Fobes began to explore mouthpiece design in 1986, it wasn't until 1990 that he launched his brand. In 1993, he introduced his now popular "Debut" mouthpieces, crafted for student musicians. The Debut products have a close facing opening that ensures good resistance and focus to the sound. They allow for better muscular development of the embouchure thanks to their ability to handle a stronger reed. Each hand-finished mouthpiece doesn’t leave the facility without play-testing to ensure consistency and quality. The Debut mouthpieces are available for both clarinet and saxophone.
