Founding his company in 1875 in the small town of Elkhart, Indiana, Colonel C.G. Conn quickly became known for his innovative brass designs and became the largest producer of brass instruments in the United States. While Conn, now part of Conn Selmer company, has undergone many changes in the past 150 years, their French Horn models remain some of the most popular instruments available today.

The C.G. Conn 8D "CONNstellation" has been one of the world's most popular horns for decades. It maintains a design that makes the horn very responsive and free-blowing with excellent tonal balance. The 8D offers the flexibility and projection a horn player needs to succeed at all levels. Its traditional large throat bell and all nickel construction give a beautiful, dark sound with rich depth.
