Saxophone and flute player, Hans Kuijt, initially invented the lefreQue for the saxophone because he was not satisfied with the sound quality of even the very best instruments. He discovered that all of the various connections between the different parts of a wind instrument acted as a disruption to the sound waves, which in turn had a negative influence on the sound quality and tuning of the instrument. From a sound quality perspective, the tube of your wind instrument would ideally consist of one piece. Because all wind instruments share the issue of having removable or connecting parts, the benefits of using the sound bridge are not limited to any wind instrument.

What is a lefreQue Sound Bridge?
The lefreQue consists of two scientifically engineered metal plates that act as a bridge between the connections of your wind instrument. Held in place with a special knotted band, you can use the sound bridge on one or all of the possible connections without any interference or adjustment to your hand position.
