Clarke Original C Tin Whistle
Description
The first Clarke Tinwhistle was invented in 1843 in Coney Weston, a tiny village near Bury St. Edmunds, in England. The creation of the tin whistle was inspired when Robert Clarke, a poor farm labourer, heard about the invention of tin plate and asked a blacksmith to help him to copy the design of his wooden whistle using this new material.
Clarke Original C Tinwhistle
The tin whistle is a simple, traditional musical instrument; ideal for popular and folk music, but also suitable for a much wider musical repertoire. It is just as good for solo playing as it is in ensemble with other musical instruments; and can be played by children, youth or adults alike.
Play it… enjoy it… and join the millions of fellow musicians who have had their start in music from the famous Clarke Tinwhistle.
