Description

Relay information clearly with the teacher's large 24" x 24" dry erase board, made from solid wood by-products with all corners and edges rounded for safety and durability. The board features 4 staves, each 3.19" high. Includes eraser, 4 assorted fine-tip markers, and a stand-up base plate for easy display on a desktop. This music board can also be easily mounted on a wall using screws, mirror mounting tape, or Velcro strips (not included).
The markers are made so that they are ultra-low odor, and they are alcohol based. This means that every time the cap is off, it will speed the drying process. So, when they are not being used, even within a class period, they need to remain capped. Any brand of dry-erase marker can be used when the original markers run out. **** The manufacturer recommends that teachers should plan to go through 2 to 3 markers per student per year. ****
To clean these markerboards:
DO NOT USE abrasive cleaners. Old fashioned Comet cleaner is good for the bathtub, but bad for the Dry Erase Board.
If you accidentally use a regular marker or a Vis-A-Vis on your dry erase surface you will probably get it off with a water dampened cloth. This is normal with all dry erase surfaces. If you get something on your board that doesn't want to clean off, don't panic. You may be able to remove it from your board by going over the mark with your dry erase marker and then erasing.
If that does not clean it off there are markerboard cleaners you may purchase from various office supply stores. Most cleaners consist of a weak dry erase marker solution. To do a heavy-duty cleaning of our boards we recommend using some non-acetone fingernail polish remover on a soft cloth or paper towel. This method works better and costs less than commercial board cleaner. On boards purchased elsewhere, check with the manufacturer to avoid damaging your board.

  • Excellent teaching tool
This dry erase board allows me to create a visual tool to help my choir see patterns in their music by isolating short phrases. I can set up this visual aid ahead of rehearsal and place it on a music stand when ready to use it. You can find various ways to use this board with a little planning. I prefer to use commercially available dry erase markers on this board. The board is big enough in size for my choir to see what I have written and small enough to be easy to move. This time, I will be sure to write "Property of ..." on the back to minimize the risk of having my new board disappear as my first one did.
