The Recorder Consort 1: 47 Pieces for Recorder Consort
by Steve Rosenberg
This collection of pieces will introduce recorder players to music of the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods, music which is ideally suited to the instrument. There are also some specially commissioned pieces from Ross Edwards, John Rimmer, Peter Sculthorpe and Gillian Whitehead which will give players a chance to play some music of the 20th c.
The collection was compiled with the amateur musician and school recorder group in mind. The standard of difficulty is such that most of the pieces are suitable for first year classes and consort moving on to an intermediate level of difficulty.
