Ish

Ramon loved to draw. Anytime. Anything. Anywhere.

Ramon loved to draw, but one day his brother laughed at one of his drawings, and it crushed his self-confidence in his ability to draw.  He tried drawing again but constantly thought his pictures weren't good enough.  One day his sister picked up one of his drawings and called it "vase-ish."  It wasn't perfect – but it was close!  She loved his pictures.  Suddenly, Ramon felt like a new world opened up for him in which his art didn't have to be perfect.  It could be "perfect-ish" instead! 

This simple story reminds children that it's hard to be perfect – but sometimes being "ish" is even better! Ish is part 2 in Peter Reynold's Creatrilogy (Dot, Ish, and Sky Color).
