"It's Elemental: Lessons that Engage" By Don Dupont and Brian Hiller is an excellent Orff resource for teachers of grades K – 5. Containing 15 ready-made lessons that demonstrate Orff Schulwerk elements, the exercises focus on rhythm, melody, tone color, texture, and form. The music included uses original, folk, and traditional melodies. The orchestrations are simple, using mainly body percussion and primary Orff instruments. A grade level is given for each song, along with lesson goals, skill objectives, extensions, and classroom tips.
