Use during circle time, small-group time, or for transitions in the classroom. Each activity gives the title of the rhyme or song, youngest age range for which the activity is appropriate, a list of applicable key experiences, major curriculum concepts explored, any materials needed, a brief description and a suggested lesson plan for introducing the activity, ways to encourage children to reflect on their experiences, and ideas for ways to make the activity more appropriate for younger or older learners. Each action song also includes notation of the melody line, with chord letters given. The book includes a CD of music to coordinate with the activities. For ages 3 to 7.
