Music Baseball Instrument Identification

Each kit includes a teacher's instruction manual with reproducible student pages, home plate and bases, and numbers for scorekeeping. The musical examples are featured on the companion CD, which uses "real" instruments, not "canned" sequences or synthesizers. Tracks for "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and "The Star Spangled Banner" are also included on the CD so you can get your game kicked off with a rousing start!

The 11 instrument flashcards are black and white instrument photos on green cardstock. Each of the 21 instruments is on an area 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" with information about the instrument on the back of the flashcard. The information includes what family (aerophone, chordophone, idiophone, membranophone, electrophone), orchestral family, description, how to make a sound, and famous performers.

Instruments on the flashcards include oboe, flute, bassoon, clarinet, trumpet, alto saxophone, trombone, French horn, violin, tuba, string bass, cello, piano, guitar, xylophone, synthesizer, timpani, vibraphone, guiro, conga drum, and drum set.
