Game DescriptionDooZie is a "Yahtzee-esque"; kind of game, designed for 3rd grade and above, in which students roll 5 musical dice. The sides of these musical dice include pictures of sixteenth notes, eighth notes, quarter notes, half notes, dotted half notes, and whole notes.Included in this digital version of DooZie are the following pages: DooZie Instructions and Hints for optimum play DooZie game board DooZie scorecard II. How to playIndividual students come to the board and roll the dice by touching them. Each student has a total of 3 rolls. After his/her initial roll, the student determines the note or notes to be kept and continues with their second roll. This process happens again with the student';s third and final roll.After this final roll, a score is determined.III. Ways in which DooZie can be played Team play – Divide your class into teams. Two teams can be very successful and fun! Within a 45-50 minute class, a class size of 22-30 can all have a turn at the board! Whole group activity – Individual students come to the board to roll the dice. The entire class is working together to see how many points they can roll. Classes can compete against other classes within their grade level. Center Activity – DooZie can be played by small groups of students at the SMARTBoard or at computer stations. IV. Regarding SMART Notebook Software Allow the flash files of the dice to completely load before switching to different pages within the lesson. It is recommended that you orient your SMARTBoard to "Fine"; 20 target points for optimum precision when writing scores on the score sheet. The more target points you orient with, the more precise your board will be. Within the SMART notebook software, you can go to "Help"; and select "Contents";. Next type "Orient"; in the search box and you will find the informative articles on the left hand side of the page. Instructions: Works on Mac and Windows OS. In order to open the SMART Notebook files on this CD, the SMART Notebook software must be installed on the computer. The latest version of SMART Notebook software can be downloaded free from here (link). Instructions for downloading the software can be found here (link). Without a product key, the SMART Notebook software is available for use for 30 days.
