This book is written in such a way that it can be enjoyed by students in grade 4 all the way through adult beginners. The frequently used theme and variation format allows students of differing abilities to play simultaneously, which keeps the whole class engaged. Each song lists its related CD tracks, and often includes a short note on the musical style used for the accompaniment. The included CD features classic and contemporary instruments; many songs have both a solo and an accompaniment track.
