Sikyi From Ghana, West Africa, Sowah Mensah, who currently lives in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, is a well known and respected ethnomusicologist, composer, performer and "Master Drummer." He is a music professor at Macalester College and the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, where he also directs each African Music Ensemble, and is also part of the faculty of World Music Drumming. In addition, Sowah presents clinics, lectures, workshops and residencies at many colleges, elementary and secondary schools churches and music organizations all over the United States.
