Intro to Music Therapy Ethicsby Cathy Knoll, MA, MT-BC andDellinda Henry, MEd, MT-BC25 page workbookOptional CMTE credits © 2014 At first glance, the topic of ethics is very simple. The code of ethics for music therapists could consist of two sentences. "Do what is right, legal, moral, and fair. Do not do what is illegal, immoral, and unfair." This self-study course, developed by experienced music therapists, guides students, interns, and professionals through an in-depth review the AMTA Code of Ethics and provides scenarios for practical application of ethical principles. Music therapists have the option of earning five CMTE credits approved to fulfill CBMT ethics requirements.
