My First Piano Adventure Lesson Book C, Book and Online Audio

”My First Piano Adventure” is written for young beginner piano students ages 5-6. The books in this series focus on the Fabers’ theory system of “ACE” - Analysis, Creativity, and Expression. These techniques guide the pedagogical approach of the series and lead the young beginner to a greater understanding of music while learning to use creativity and expression to develop skill and artistry. The books include games and carefully selected pieces that slowly introduce musical concepts. Another impressive feature of “My First Piano Adventures” is the colorful artwork the features five multi-cultural children who are also learning to play. These friends at the piano introduce primary rhythms, white key names, and a variety of white and black-key songs that span classical, folk, and blues.

Lesson Book C continues staff reading skills and introduces skips (3rds). Students explore skips aurally and kinesthetically across the full range of the keyboard. The engaging songs carefully and comfortably guide the child toward line-line and space-space staff recognition. The included CD presents a vibrant mix of sounds. It can be used as a listening CD to educate as well as an accompaniment CD for play-along.
