Activities for rhythmic development for elementary through middle school students. All of the material may be extended to any combination of instruments (Orff or other). The games are adaptable across all age levels and proceed from simple to complex. Each game lists a skill required for successful playing (and which can be developed through repeated playing), such as maintaining one's part in a multi-layered rhythmic texture or translating speech to spoken notation. Each game highlights a music concept (such as duration values or meter) and lists variations and author comments.
