Unique shaker made from uyot seeds, attached with sturdy rope to a wooden handle.

For many years the uyot seed has been used for a variety of rattles, favored by Nigerians when dancing in festivals and masquerades. Often 10 or more people will use the rattles as they dance together, keeping the same rhythm. Produces a powerful sound - because of the sharp tone of this seed, these rattles can cut through the sound of many drums. Great for drum circles!
