Ready To Use Music Reading Activities Kit

A complete sequential program for use with mallet and keyboard instruments, these 150 hands-on activities help students of all abilities in grades 1-8 master the basics of reading music by singing and playing favorite children's songs on a variety of instruments. It uses both solfege and absolute notation, combining instrumental and vocal approaches to learn, apply, and reinforce music reading concepts. Each section presents a progression of exciting activities for learning particular musical concepts or skills; the sections are sequential, with each one building on skills learned through previous activities.

The sections include reproducible worksheets and practice sheets, games, song sheets, composition worksheets,award certificates, and bonus pages of games and partner activities. A Teacher Resource Materials section includes end-of-section tests and answer keys, follow-up activities, suggestions for extending the learning experience, and classroommanagement suggestions.
