  • My fingers can reach the holes
Just got this new Aulos tenor recorder. I have been playing the alto. I bought this one because it said it would work for people with small hands. It is a bit of a stretch, but I can play it. My index finger is 2 3/4" long and my middle finger is 3" long. I figured it was not too expensive to buy one and try it out. Now I just have to learn the new fingering.....
  • lovely instrument
I bought this tenor recorder for the closer holes. It's still easier to play an alto, but maybe I was hoping for too much. In any event that's why I gave it 4 stars & not 5. I really want to give it 4.5, but that's not an option.<br />The recorder also has a beautiful tone, & plays easily. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants to play tenor, but is bothered by the distance between the tone holes. I think someone with really small hands would still have a problem with this instrument, though.
