Rhythm of the Reef

Dance to your own beat!

This series is based on The Jim Henson Company's Splash and Bubbles series on PBS Kids and teaches about ocean life and the importance of diversity. Rhythm of the Reef features Splash and friends dancing at the Reeftown Rhythm Festival.  However, Wave the Octopus won't dance because his tentacles move in crazy ways and he feels like people won't accept his strange dance moves.  Splash and his friends convince him that he is amazing, and the only thing that matters is having fun!

This story is an excellent introduction to a movement lesson, or for a song about the ocean life!  Best of all, it teaches that all movement/dance is good, even if it doesn't look like everyone else's.
