Sky Color

"How am I going to make the sky without blue paint?"

Sky Color brings back Ramon’s sister Marisol (from Ish) – now a little older.  She also loves art and is known for her creativity at school.  Her class is tasked with painting a mural, and Marisol volunteers to paint the sky.  However, when she goes to find the blue paint, it isn’t there!  This causes Marisol to re-evaluate what colors the sky could be and open her eyes to new ideas.  She ends up creating an entirely new color, which she calls "Sky color!"

This story teaches children to be open to new ideas and not be confined to the way things have always been.  Be creative and try new things!  They may end up being better than you thought they could be! Sky Color is part 3 in Peter Reynold’s Creatrilogy (Dot, Ish, and Sky Color).
