Begin with simple lessons using pentatonic notes and progress to diatonic songs using chords I, IV, and V. Each song gives the suggested grade levels; tubes needed; teaching tips; an "Expand It!" section; a reproducible student page including lyrics; and a full score showing melody, lyrics, Boomwhacker, and unpitched percussion parts (full scores may not be copied). The Expand It ideas include movement suggestions, adding small percussion instruments to the songs, or activities to teach other musical concepts. The included CD has 2 accompaniments for most songs: one at a slower practice tempo, the other at a quicker performance tempo.
