What is new for Studio One 3 Professional?
Arranger Track
Now it's easier than ever to work "pattern-style" in a timeline-based sequencer/DAW. With the Arranger Track option, you can quickly and intuitively re-arrange a song by copying or moving entire song sections with simple drag and drop.
Scratch Pads
Want to try different versions, but afraid of messing up the arrangement? Scratch Pads provide a powerful and easy way to experiment with different arrangements or versions of a section without the hassle of saving alternate copies or using the Undo History button. Make your edits inside Scratch Pads, and when you are satisfied, drag the contents back into the main arrangement.
Extended FX Chains
Chain and combine plug-ins in a more flexible and creative way. As an expansion to the original FX Chain feature, the Insert section of each Studio One console channel now has an "edit" button, opening a routing view of FX Chains.
Multi Instruments feature is a powerful and unique way to create complex sounds. Combine multiple instruments (as layers or splits) on a single Instrument Track and record, edit, and play them like a single instrument. The possibilities for creative production and sound-design are endless!

Mai Tai polyphonic analog modeling synth
2 oscillators with sub-oscillator and 2 LFOs can operate in free-run mode, exactly like real analog synths
Noise generator
Multimode filter with five types from vintage analog (Moog and Oberheim style) to modern state-of-the-art "zero feedback" filters
Character module provides subtle or drastic sound changes, morphing-like effects and unique timbres
Presence XT sampler
Successor to the original Presence sample-player
Can read original Presence contect, as well as the most popular sampler formats (EXS, Kontakt, Giga, and SoundFont)
Includes dozens of new instruments, disk streaming for large samples, and custom controls for unique sound parameters
Library can be expanded through the PreSonus Shop, including Presence Studio Grand Piano and the Presence Symphonic Orchestra (sold separately, not available through West Music)
