The Recorder Resource Kit, Student Book w/Online Audio
The Recorder Resource Kit student book is laid out with easy-to-read scores and gives the CD tracks for the performance version and the accompaniment version. The first 5 notes taught will enable pentatonic improvisation. The composer biographies included with a melody the composer used or an excerpt of a composition are nice additions. -Kathy
Known to be a fun and successful first year classroom recorder method, the Recorder Resource by Denise Gagne will keep your students playing long after your recorder unit ends. Familiar songs usually give at least one verse of the lyrics.
Musical concepts (slur, pickup note, etc.) are introduced throughout the book. Listening suggestions, composer biographies and theory and note name practice are also included.
The teacher book (item 805000) is available separately.
