Christmas Bells By Bradley Bonner Book and CD Beginning Handbell or Tone Chime Choirs Christmas arrangements for handbells or tone chimes - includes 2 songs for 8-note bells, 3 songs for 13-note bells, and 3 songs for 20-note bells. The songs for 8 or 13 notes can be used with Kidsplay color-coded handbells (items 200269 or 200270, each available separately).
Each piece has the letter name printed under the note on the staff. All songs except Infant Holy/ Three Kings have a melody part and a separate harmony part - perfect for combining two choirs, or play the melody for one verse and the harmony for the second. The melody parts show one line of lyrics under the notes. The harmony parts are simple at the beginning of the book, with all quarter notes or longer, and become more difficult (with more mixed rhythms and quicker notes) towards the end of the book. Permission is granted for the purchaser to copy the written scores only for use with their students. The included CD may not be duplicated. It has two tracks for each song - one with a full performance including handbell and accompaniment parts, and one with accompaniment only that could be used for performing the songs. The CD usually presents the melody handbell part on the first verse, the harmony on the second verse, and a combination of both parts on the third verse.
