Written by Brian Hiller and Don Dupont, “Elemental Music Making” is a stand-alone resource or supplement to the What to Teach curriculum series. Fully processed lessons enhance the curricular goals of an elementary music classroom. Lessons use original songs, traditional melodies, American and world folk music, as well as orchestrations, poems, activities, and game suggestions. Singing, speech, movement, and instrument playing are incorporated. There are three lessons per grade level. Each lesson has a focus, list of skills students will acquire or practice, process, suggested performance ideas, and extensions. The enhanced CD contains projectables and reproducibles.
