Yamaha YRS-20BB Recorder
The Yamaha 20 Series recorders are designed to provide a perfect start to anyone's musical education. They offer an ideal amount of air resistance for easy control and feature an accuracy of intonation you would expect to find only on more expensive models. This model features a straight windway which eliminates the resistance found in models with an arched windway. This makes it easy for beginners to create a pure soft tone. In addition to the straight windway, the 20 Series features double holes for low C and C#, low D and D#, and the convenience of durable, maintenance-free ABS resin.

great school recorder
I ordered this model of recorder in the 3 available colors for my elementary school. The recorders are attractive, play well, and are durable. My only complaint is that the cases are not very strong and tear easily and the recorders don't come with a cleaning rod.

The only thing I did not love is the case, if you keep the fingering chart in the case, it is hard for younger students to place the recorder in it, they just jam up the paper, trying to force it in.
