Hosted by the Wartburg Ritterchor and directed by Dr. Lee Nelson, this festival is unlike any other in Iowa. Over 500 male singers from around the Midwest will join in a day of singing and voice masterclasses. There will be two festival choirs: one for changing voices (Grades 7-9/10) conducted by Luke Johnson, and one for changed voices (Grade 9/10-adult; conducted by Dr. Lee Nelson). The award-winning barbershop chorus Central Standard will make a special guest appearance for the festival participants, and workshops dealing with the male voice, program development, recruitment, and repertoire will be provided for participating choral directors. The one-day festival will culminate with a finale concert that is open to the public at 5 p.m. in Neumann Auditorium.
