30 short pieces and canons for xylophones, with pieces for one and for two players. Some pieces specify what range of xylophone is desired and others do not. The last piece also has a part for timpani and hand drum. Many different kinds of pentatonic scale are used (with and without semitones). Pieces #21-30 also have an upper part that could be sung or possibly played on another instrument (no lyrics are given- just an upper melody line). The pieces in this book are suitable for advanced players who would like to play from notation.
