Step Lively

Step Lively is an introduction to many kinds of group dancing (folk dancing, square dancing, and contra dancing), and a resource for teachers wanting classroom dance material that is up-to-date, fun to use, and clear and explicit.

The book contains 13 tunes with 20 different dances. The first seven dances require a specific song or melody (notated in the book with guitar chords), and the rest of the dances can be done to a wide array of standard fiddle tunes. Suggested age levels for each dance are given.

The included CD features musicians playing real (folk and band) instruments - fiddle, mandolin, accordion, piano, tuba, trombone, percussion, clarinet, bass, guitar, etc.
