Written and designed by a classroom music teacher and co-published by the National Association for Music Education, Uke Can Do It 2! is a beginner method book suitable for students at the elementary or secondary level. Sequenced and paced according to tested teaching practice, it includes opportunities to play by ear, improvise, compose, read the treble staff to play melodies and scales, read full lead sheets to play and sing traditional songs, and read chord charts to strum along with widely available popular recordings.
The total of over 80 exercises and songs includes music by artists including The Beatles, 311, Flatt & Scruggs, The Lumineers, Wilson Pickett, The Black Eyed Peas, and the Rolling Stones, as well as traditional songs such as "Aloha ‘Oe,""Amazing Grace, "When the Saints Go Marching In,""Brahms’ Lullaby,"and "Everybody Loves Saturday Night."All music is carefully selected to be singable for children’s voices.
