These plastic castanets give a great sound at a great price! They are super easy to play, just shake them back and forth to get a great castanet sound. An added benefit is that since they are plastic, they can be sanitized with an antibacterial wipe or spray. -Jenny

Castanets
Nice sound for kids ears. Built well. I'm always looking for solid instruments that have a relatively mellow sound, so that kids can sing and play at the same time. Thanks.

They can take a lickin' and keep on clickin'!
I use these castanets frequently with my students (ages 6-21). The kids are very hard on instruments and I have found that these stand up to the challenge. The only part that I've had trouble with is the plastic cable tie that holds the red parts to the handle. I got a pack of 100 replacement cable ties at the hardware store for just a few dollars, and now I'm able to repair them quickly and easily!
