Whack-a-Doodle-Doo!

"Whack-a-Doodle Doo!"is an entertaining collection of 20 color-coded children's songs for use with Boomwhackers. All the songs can be played using a set of 8 diatonic Boomwhackers (item 200346, available separately). Since Boomwhackers are color-coded by pitch, the notes of each song in this book are color coded to match the correct Boomwhacker pitch. Note names (also in the coordinating color) are written under each note as well. The color associations and exposure to musical notation assist a child in learning to read music as well as play music. This book includes information on the color coding system used, the organization of the book, how to play Boomwhackers, and some fundamental information about music notation. Songs include lyrics and color-coded melody line (some also include illustrations of people playing Boomwhackers). An excellent book for families or groups!
