World Music Drumming: More New Ensembles and Songs (A Cross-Cultural Curricular Supplement)
"More New Ensembles and Songs" (sometimes referred to as "the green book”) is another exciting cross-cultural curricular supplement in the World Music Drumming curriculum by Will Schmid. This collection of 13 pieces, perfect for grades 5 - 8, will add more musical variety and spice to your drumming options. These are not harder ensemble pieces than previous collections, just even more engaging and entertaining selections with musical representations from other cultural areas.
Each piece gives the written notation of each part, related online track, learning sequence and notes on singing the suggested song and how to combine with the percussion parts, notation of the vocal parts (some also give chord letters), supplementary strategies, and teaching tips. The online materials provide a model and can be used for play-alongs.
