Alfred's Basic Piano Library: Theory Book 3

Alfred’s Basic Piano Library was created to be a musically sound and enjoyable method series for beginning pianists of all ages. The Basic Piano Course Level 3 books progressively follow the level 2 books. Level 3 books introduce compound meters (3/8 and 6/8), primary triads in major and minor keys, and “overlapping” pedal technique. Important music concepts such as the chromatic scale, minor scales, and playing scales in contrary motion are introduced as well. Colorful illustrations accompany nearly every piece and help make the music concepts come to life.

Each level of Alfred’s Basic Piano Course contains four core books: Lesson, Theory, Recital, Technic.
