Chimes of Dunkirk: Teaching Dance to Children (DVD)

"Chimes of Dunkirk: Teaching Dance to Children" is a companion to the Chimes of Dunkirk book and CD set (item 815520, available separately).

This DVD includes 17 of the dances from the Chimes of Dunkirk collection, filmed at evening community dances and elementary school dance sessions in Vermont, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. The teaching is done by elementary school music and physical education teachers, and all 3 Chimes editors (Peter Amidon, Andy Davis, and Mary Cay Brass). The music for the dancing, both live and recorded, is played by many of New England's finest dance musicians.

The DVD includes tips and techniques on teaching traditional dance to children in school music, PE, or community dance settings.
