Educating Young Singers

Designed to assist those with young choirs by integrating pedagogical and musical knowledge into choir rehearsals, "Educating Young Singers" has become a valuable resource to many music educators. With this integration the stage is set for meaningful rehearsals that lead to gratifying performances. Divided into three main sections, ideas, processes, demonstrations, and activities for developing solid musicianship are given. The included DVD has demonstrations on conducting gesture, specific warm-ups, and song presentations with the Indiana University Children's Choir. Written by three nationally recognized music educators: Mary Goetze, Angela Broeker, and Ruth Boshkoff.
