Elemental Recorder Playing

Teacher's Book

By Gunild Keetman and Minna Ronnefeld
Translated and adapted by Mary Shamrock
31 pages
This soprano recorder method book can be a supplement for an Orff Schulwerk music class. The development of musical creativity is central to the concept- the learning of recorder skills is integrated with movement, singing, improvisation, use of accompaniments and ear-training skills. The materials are organized according to a continuum in ear-training development. All musical examples were composed and/or arranged by Keetman;and Ronnefeld. English and American materials replace some German-edition songs examples. This book does not show the student book pages.
For ages 6 to 9 (grade 2 at the earliest); can be used with older students with alterations in song texts.
Note progression: High C, A, high D, G, E, D, B, C, F.,
