Hands On Recorder Book 1
Expert Perspective
One of the things I like about Hands On Recorder is that the pages are not cluttered and scores are easy for students to read. Just 8 notes are taught, and the first five are part of a G pentatonic scale. -Kathy Bohstedt
Description
The Hands On Recorder Book One soprano recorder method, by Gerald and Sonya Burakoff, is versatile enough for group or individual instruction. The featured songs include international folk melodies with both traditional and original lyrics.
There are 3 duets included, which correlate to the supplementary book, Duet Time 1 (Item 802970). The CD (850214, available separately) has 26 instrumental accompaniments with recorder, and features divided channels to isolate the recorder or accompaniment part.
Recommended for grades 3 to 4.
Note Progression: B, A, G, E, D, high C, high D, F#.
Both English and German fingering charts are included.
