It Moves Me, Vol. 1

This CD will take you through six dance warm-ups, eleven different cultural styles, and six contrasting meters. These fun and funky warm-ups are for all ages, inspired by the music of world cultures and a fusion of east and west. Each track offers opportunities for improvisation in varying textures and dynamics. The first five tracks use gradual instrumental layering while the last seven tracks focus more on cultural style and flavor of the music. The liner notes offer general suggestions for movements.
