With just one or two exercises per new note or music element (eighth notes, staccato, etc), the emphasis of this book is on learning through playing melodies. There are at least four songs per new note (after B and A). Some of the duets are intended for the teacher to play the second part. Description
It's Recorder Time soprano recorder method by Alfred D'Auberge and Morton Manus is packed with original, folk, classical and familiar songs, as well as many duets and 2 trios.
Musical concepts (time signature, measures, etc.) are reviewed as the learning musician progresses, and each piece includes breath marks for phrasing. Familiar songs have a verse of the lyrics shown. Included, is a brief introduction to the recorder family, playing technique, and basic music theory. This method is recommended for grades 3-4 and up.
