Jazz and Kids

This swingin' collection of jazz tunes by Rosana Eckert and Sharon Burch was designed just for kids!  Each song is written or arranged in a distinctive jazz style or groove, with added movement, games, and activities to reinforce musical concepts.  Students will experience 12-bar blues, scat singing, call and response, improvisation, swing, New Orleans Second Line, and more!
 
Songs include: Jungle Jazz; Scat Singing Fun; Jungle Jam; Five Little Monkeys; Shoo Fly; Miss Mary Mack; Singing This Song; and I'm So Sorry My Friend/Let's Celebrate.
 
The collection includes piano/vocal arrangements; PDFs of singer parts; plus online access to 3 audio mixes: with vocals, without vocals, and with only the second vocal part (when applicable).  Suggested for Gr 1-5
