The Mike Balter Shadow Series 224BB Soft Marimba Mallets are best on the middle to low end of the marimba. A nice weight with a tightly cord will give you a big sound without the mallet weighing you down.
These extremely well balanced mallets were developed expressly for the concert marimba soloist. The black cord wound oval-shaped head on a long Black Birch Handles produces an articulate, detailed sound at all dynamic levels.
