Music for Children CDs
Description
Music for Children accompanying CDs 3 Disc Set
3-CD set contains extracts from the 5-volume Murray editions of the Music for Children series books, plus settings by Gunild Keetman, Margaret Murray, Carl Orff, Hermann Regner and Olwen Jones. The material includes songs from Britain, Canada and the United States.
The songs and the pieces on these CD's should not be considered as parts of a blueprint, but rather thought of as outline sketches that can be varied, modified or extended. Those who compare the CD's and the books will find that many of the pieces have been changed. Children's voices and instruments are on the recordings. Singers and speakers are from a variety of English, Welsh and German schools with professional musicians playing instruments. The instrumental ensemble was directed by Carl Orff and Hermann Regner.
