38 children’s songs, games and chants from Israel. Hebrew songs are transliterated and then translated into English. Collection is categorized according to fingerplays/chants, clapping games, jump rope/ball-bouncing chants, game songs and dances, and songs of childhood. Most of the songs were collected in Israel in the 1980s by Klinger with two additions by Holmes. Most of the songs in the collection have been written on the staff in keys designed to allow the final note to be G. This was done for visual clarity and ease of reading. A recommended starting pitch (RSP) is given for every song.
