So-Me Storybooks

The So-Me Storybook Series by Stuart Manins is an imaginative resource to introduce musical concepts to young children from preschool to grade 2. The entertaining stories feature the fun main character, So-me. These stories were originally written to help children sing in tune and move in time, but over time they have also provided a basis for developing educational and music concepts and skills. Children are encouraged to respond creatively to the sounds all around them by listening to and joining in these stories. Kids also are invited to create stories of their own! Also introduced in the series are la, stave lines, do, re, ta, ti-ti, dynamics, tempo, ta-a, tonic chord, and compound time rhythm patterns.
